"Ahmiyat"

MONOLOGUE: "Ahmiyat – The Funny Thing About Importance"
You ever notice how we give so much importance to the weirdest things?
Like… if someone doesn’t reply to your message in 0.2 seconds — alert the media, cancel your day, call your best friend — “It's over. They hate me.”
But your own goals? Water intake? Sleep schedule?
“Arrey yaar kal dekh lenge.”
Funny, isn’t it? This thing called importance?
"Wo sabd jiski tum ahmiyat na jaante,
har bekar si cheezon ko ahem bna daalte..."
We often don’t even know what truly matters to us — so we just promote random stuff to VIP status in our minds.Like that one comment your teacher made in class six? Still living rent-free in your head.
But your own inner voice?
Ignored like terms & conditions.
Sometimes, we fight over opinions we don’t even believe in — just because someone else said it with confidence.
"Soch lo ye mudde,
asal chizzon se tumhe dur na le aaye..."
Exactly. What if all these dramatic “important things” are just distractions from the actual stuff we should be focusing on?
Like peace. Or purpose. Or how to fold a fitted bed sheet — yeah, that too.
Let’s be honest — we cry during movie ads, obsess over unread messages, and worry about people who barely remember our birthdays.
We’re humans. Importance is emotional, not always logical.Kisi ka kaha aur kehwaya gya tumhare lie
tumhare soch se ahem na ban jaaye..."
Don’t let someone else’s loud opinion become your life’s quiet truth.
Just because the world claps, doesn’t mean it’s your stage.
And just because something hurts, doesn’t mean it matters.
Sometimes, our priorities need therapy. Or a good laugh.
"Aaj ka tumhara khokhla sach na ban jaaye."
That’s the mic drop, isn’t it?
Don’t let today’s shallow belief become tomorrow’s foundation.
So here’s a thought — before you crown something as “important,” ask yourself:
Will it matter in a week?
A year?Or even after this monologue ends?
And if the answer’s “no” —
Let it go.
Laugh it off.
Live a little.
Because the most important thing…
is knowing what’s not.
